the short version is you have to find them by scanning with probes for cosmic signatures. when you find one it gets added to your journal. they can be in multiple parts with one expedition site starting the chain

sensor dampenor bonus on a close range ship makes little sense, sensor dampenors are a heap of turd anyway i filled the middle slots of a celestis with them the other day and only got a scorp to 25km locking range which means! domi with dampenor...

drones might not need 50% more hitpoints but fighters do they arent that hard to kill now with ships having more hp it will be easy to pop a few warp to somewhere while repping , pop another etc
